Rantables used to be my outlet for all things annoying in my life. About a year ago, I decided to make a major overhaul and focus on one particular subject that is still somewhat taboo to discuss: pro wrestling. For a few years, I hid my interest in this medium, but finally, after about three years of watching in silence, I chose to let the world know that I, at 24, still watch wrestling. Yes, it’s musclebound, hairless, oily men wearing tights fake fighting each other in matches with predetermined outcomes for titles that really don’t mean anything, but DAMN IT, it’s entertaining! At least, sometimes it is.
This blog/column will be updated on a non-standard basis, meaning that I’ll update if there’s a particular subject bugging me, or if there’s something big coming up, like a PPV show and I make my picks for who’s to win. Essentially, there will definitely be at least one update a week, and usually more than one if I’m feeling extra frisky. You may ask why I watch this medium if I have so many issues and problems with it, but it’s just the dedication I and every other person who writes their own blog about wrestling has. It’s a love/hate relationship: we hate what goes on most of the time, but we love it when things work out right.
This blog/column focuses mainly on World Wrestling Entertainment, since it’s the only company I have access to on a regular basis. I also have access to Total Non Stop Action, but there is no way in hell you’re going to get me to watch that crap. If I can acquire other shows by indy promotions, such as Ring of Honor or Dragon Gate USA, then I will discuss those on a more limited basis. So you’ll mostly get WWE rants and raves. So if you enjoy reading one man’s opinions on the current events surrounding the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, look no further! I’ll be sure to keep this blog updated at least once a week, so check back often or subscribe to the blog via the RSS feed. I have no idea how it works, but the option is there. Enjoy!
